Principal's Message

Welcome to Mangaroa School, a semi-rural primary school catering for students in Years 1-6.  The school is surrounded by mature trees and expansive grounds and students are encouraged to climb, swing and play similar games that we did when we were young.  We are located ten minutes from central Upper Hutt and an hour from Wellington.  Parental involvement is high in all facets of schooling, with parents and community members providing excellent support for the school.  The staff and board of trustees at Mangaroa School are committed to providing students with high-quality education that coincides with our school vision of Confident and resilient students, prepared for the future.  We aim to prepare our students to meet the challenges of an ever-changing global society where they exhibit the values, skills and understandings to undertake a positive, productive and rewarding role in the world.  Our progressive curriculum provides opportunities for excellence not only in academics, but also in sporting and recreational activities.

It is a real privilege to be a part of such a vibrant school where there is always something exciting happening.   If you would like to learn more, please get in touch with me, or stop by and say hello.
